ACTIVE START

The Active Start program is designed specifically for Athletes aged 0 to 5 years old. At this age children grow at rapid speeds. The goal of our program is to provide athletes with a multi movement approach to gymnastics that contributes to physical, motor, social, and cognitive development. Athletes will work through our dedicated Active Start Level System. At this stage boys and girls learn together and are not separated.

In the final stage of our active start program athletes begin to transition from child sized equipment to adult sized equipment. While the majority of time will be spent on the child sized equipment our goal is to ensure an easy transition between our Active Start programs and our school aged programs.

The coach will lead them through an active warm up followed by skill instruction on our events. A "circuit" format is used to introduce basic gymnastics skills such as front roll, swing, and cartwheel.
